Plateside - Food and Restaurant Photography
Food has been a passion of mine since childhood. My mum is a keen cook and always encouraged me to experiment with food, to try interesting delicacies and find new places to eat. Growing up in North London there were always exciting places to eat; from Turkish Kebab and Pakistani Curry through to Japanese Sashimi and Polish Pierogi I was always eating something different every weekend. I'm fascinated by colours, textures and layers in food too, with my favourites being the violent purple of Borcht, vivid orange of Smoked Salmon and the stark contrast of paleness and deep colour in Bao Buns. Finding beauty in Food led me to Food Photography, and seeking out the best restaurants with the most interesting food is now more than a hobby of mine.
