Matt and Olivia's wedding was all about bringing two families together, and how many family members they could fit into both the town hall and the reception venue later on! It took place on the 25th of October and I was shooting alongside my good friend, the awesome Skins Elliott.
The ceremony took place at the historic Berkhamsted Town Hall, its carpet stained with the wine and cake of a thousand weddings and its wooden floors echoing with the 'I do's' from a thousand commitments. Before the ceremony Mark was really nervous, sharing more than one Jameson's with his groomsmen to calm his nerves! As soon as Olivia walked down the aisle they locked eyes and all nerves turned straight to elation and his tense expression changed into a mile-wide smile.
After the lovely ceremony the party walked down the lovely Berkhamsted high street towards The Gatsby, a classically themed 1920's themed venue. Once there cocktails and champagne were served whilst a slideshow of Olivia and Mark's memories together played as they gave a running narrative on some particularly special, and funny, moments in their lives. After the meal more cocktails were served, followed by an awesome wedding cake made by Olivia's great aunt and some speeches by Mark's best man Jock and Olivia's father Clive which had everyone, including the couple, in stitches! I had a wonderful time from start to finish, with a whole range of emotions shared amongst a very close knit set of family and friends, making for a truly special day.
Spending time with Skins is always fun and we always create awesome work together, and every time I shoot with him we make something better than the time before, and these photos show that! To see more of his work head over to www.skinselliottphotography.com and give him a like on Facebook too here.
