Off of the back of my Londonwide tour of restaurants spanning from the end of September to the beginning of February, I have been lucky enough to be invited to wonderful restaurants all around the country. One of the most exciting was Loch Fyne, a nationwide Seafood and Grill chain whose reputation is built on the highest quality Scottish ingredients, the freshest seafood and their rustic yet upmarket charm. I have been a fan of their food since I was a child, with my parents being huge seafood fans, so when I got an email if I would take photos for them I jumped at the chance! Add into the mix that the venue was in Cambridge, a city I've only ever passed through and never stayed for any decent amount of time, this was a wonderful enquiry to receive.
I was hired primarily to do a profile on the chef, Andreas, but also to capture two dishes: the incredible smoked-whilst-you-watch Salmon Fillet & the classic mussels in garlic and to give an overview of the venue, including the beautiful natural wooden beams and the historic facade on the outside. It was a lovely shoot, very relaxed with a great atmosphere and vibe coming from the staff. I look forward to going back and eating with them again soon!
Shown below are my favourite photos from the shoot, enjoy! For the full album please visit www.olisandler.co.uk/lochfynecambridge
